Jaxx Steele: When Enough is Enough
I love reading romance books about main characters that conquer whatever threatens the loving relationship they’re in. Be it inner turmoil or and physical threat, the main character doesn’t get a moments peace. My favorites are the ones that put the main character on adrenaline overload. The main character is always stuck between a rock and a hard place. He has just averted one crisis and before he can take a sigh of relief the bad guy is back throwing him into something else. That’s where Reynaud finds himself in Reynaud’s Redemption.
He was unjustly accused and sentenced for a crime he didn’t commit. It took him over a hundred years to rebound from his punishment, only to have the love of his life threatened and possibly taken from him by someone in his lover’s past. Just as Reynaud thinks all is well, someone from his past comes to threaten not only everything he has personally built up but innocent people around him as well.
Between the folklore of Haitian voodoo magic, the highs and lows of dealing with unresolved past issues and putting the power of love on display, Reynaud’s Redemption was a blast to write.
